My name is Sara Strauss and I created SGS, Sara G. Strauss Jewelry. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, where I began making jewelry as a hobby as a young girl. As I grew, so did my passion and love for designing and creating my own jewelry. By the time I was 13, I chose jewelry design as my career path, as it became my true passion. My ideas expanded, along with my materials and techniques, and after high school, I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, receiving my degree in Jewelry Design.
Since then, I've created SGS , Sara G. Strauss Jewelry and have received recognition by the international publication, BeadStyle Magazine, since November 2005, debuting with my design of wire-wrapped rings. I have also taught classes based on jewelry design at my local library, and Brooklyn Beads Boutique. Most recently I have been chosen to show my work in a gifting suite in honor of the 62nd annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, CA.
At SGS, Sara G. Strauss Jewelry, you will find a vast selection of women's jewelry; necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, hairpieces and pins, as well as a few watches. You will also find a nice selection of girl's jewelry, from infant to teenager. Men's jewelry can be done by custom order, with a description of the desired design and specifications on size (necklaces, bracelets and rings). All custom orders are welcome, allowing for availability of materials and at least one month for completion.
I hope you enjoy my one-of-a-kind creations, as I enjoy making them.
